Applicants should have successfully completed a 10+2+3-year bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized university or institution. Equivalent qualifications, as acknowledged by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or other competent bodies, are also acceptable. Candidates holding a 10+2+3-year bachelor's degree in other streams such as Science, Business Administration, Business Management, Arts & Humanities, Commerce, etc., are eligible for MCA admission. However, they are required to participate in and successfully complete a mandatory bridge course covering the fundamentals of computer and IT, in conjunction with their Semester 1 courses. Furthermore, candidates who have not studied mathematics during their 10+2 or bachelor’s degree programs must undergo and successfully complete a compulsory bridge course in mathematics, along with their other Semester 1 courses. This ensures that all candidates, regardless of their educational background, acquire the foundational knowledge necessary for the MCA program.
